      Delta Downs hosted its richest program of the season on Saturday evening as the 20th edition of Louisiana Premier Night took center stage. The 12-race program featured 10 stakes races and $980,000 in total purse money for Louisiana-breds.


       TOUCHUPONASTAR moved up to engage the leader and put him away to win the LA Bred Premier Championship Stakes. TOUCHUPONASTAR is no stranger to the winner's circle, having won his last 3 stakes races plus an allowance race. He has earned over 1/4 million dollars for trainer  Jeff Delhomme and owner  Set-Hut LLC He was bred by  Coteau Grove Farms. BEHEMAH STAR followed him in 2nd for Brittlyn Stable Inc and Jose M. Camejo.

      OVA CHARGED won the LA Bred Premier Matron Stakes getting up in the last few jumps to dead heat for the win. She has won 5 stakes races in a row plus an allowance!!
