Multiple Stakes Placed SIPPIN ON GIN added another stakes running 3rd in the Star Guitar on closing day at the Fair Grounds. He is an Allied Racing Stable LLC homebred. In the 1 1/6 mile Star Guitar S run on the dirt, he came wide and got up for the show.

SW and multiple stakes placed SMASH IT, trained by Brendan P. Walsh,  stalked 2 wide in the Costa Rising S and just got out-kicked for the win.  He is a hoembred for Brad King, Scott Bryant, Clay Cash, Chris Coleman & Stan Kirby.

Second two years ago in the New Orleans Classic, Touchuponastar won the race last year, and on Saturday became the first horse in 38 years to win two in a row.

Touchuponastar ran 1 1/8 miles on a fast track in 1:46.84, a clocking officially taken on GPS but confirmed through hand-timing. No horse here ever has run faster; Touchuponastar bested the 1:47.39 standard Factor This established in 2020.

Multiple stakes placed TAMBOURINE STAR wins his 5th and ups his earnings over $222,000! Racing a mile at the Fair Grounds, he bid 2 wide and won by a length for owner/breeder Brittlyn,LLC and trainer Shawn Wilson.

The Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association announced March 6 the winners of its 2025 championship awards, highlighted by Touchuponastar , who was voted the state's Horse of the Year by the LTBA board of directors from among the divisional champions.

Touchuponastar further earned honors as the champion 4-year-old-and-up male following another standout season.
Star Guitar, who stands at Clear Creek Stud, was named Stallion of the Year, with his progeny earning more than any other stallion standing in Louisiana during 2025.

Racing 7 furlongs at Delta downs, UP N GONE stalked, dueled and held on to win by a nose. He is trained by Samuel Breaux for owner Rachel Denius. Breeder: Brittlyn, Inc.

7 year old gelding RUNNINGINTHEMONEY trained by David Terre won his 8th going a mile at the Fair Grounds. He is owned by Fleur De Lis Investments LLC and was bred by Ray Whitley. Earning over $180,000, he has brought many to the winner's circle.

At Delta Downs, AMERICAN GUY took off to win by 10 lengths sprinting 5 furlongs to garner win #3. He is trained byPedro Rodriguez-Torres for owner R/T Roofing and Concrete. Breeder: Markkim Farms

AYZEE  settled in the second flight, sprinting 5 furlongs at the Fair Grounds, then found a path through foes to get up late for the win by 1 3/4 lengths. She was bred by Clear Creek Stud LLC (LA)  and is trained by Joseph R. Felks for owner  Keith Plaisance, The 3-year-old filly was an $80,000 yearling purchase at the La Breeders Mixed Sale in 2024.

GRACEFUL STAR set all the pace,, fended off rivals and won her 2ns race in a row by 1 3/4 lengths. She raced 7 1/2 furlongs at Delta Downs. The newly turned 4-year-old filly is trained and owned by Hance Robbins, Jr.

Racing a mile on the turf at the Fair Grounds, FRAN'S STAR settled behind horses on the inside, then found a way out to wear down the leader going 5 wide for the win by 1 1/2 lengths. FRAN'S STAR is a homebred for  Jacqueline L. Barberito trained by Shane Wilson.

Off the favorite and on the same card, LOUISIANA WILDLIFE backed off to shadow the early pace, overcame a brush, then advanced for the win by 1 1/2 lengths racing 6 furlongs. He was claimed out of his winning race, and we wish the best of racing luck going forward. 

Stakes winner RUE LALA sprinted 5 1/2 furlongs on the turf at the Fair Grounds to garner her 7th win and her 2nd allowance win in a row. She came 4 wide from off the pace, challenged and won by 1 1/2. Thsi remarkable 8 year old mare is very much still at the top of her game. She is everybody's dream of a race horse. STARRY EYED added win #3 racing 6 furlongs at the Fair Grounds, He hopped at the start then rushed to the lead and won by 2 3/4 lengths. He is trained and co-owned and bred by Denise Schmidt. The other co-owner and breeder is Terry Gaffney.

GRACEFUL STAR set all the pace and drew away to an easy  2nd win by 1 1/2 lengths. She raced 7 1/2 furlongs at Delta Downs. The newly turned 4-year-old filly is trained and owned by Hance Robbins, Jr.

SAME PLAY was the speed of the race and pulled away to win by 31/2 racing a mile at Delta Downs. The newly turned 4  year old gelding is trained by Jerry Delhomme for Set-Hut LLC. Breeder: Robin Lane Thoroughbreds, LLC

Stakes winner RUE LALA sprinted 5 1/2 furlongs on the turf to garner her 6 th win. She came from off the pace, challenged and won by 1 3/4.

LE MONSTRE RAPIDE gained hs 3rd win taking  an AOC at a mile by 3 1/2 lengths. He pressed the pace in 2nd, then cleared his field 3 wide for the win.

MALAKI EMPIRE also got his 3rd win at the Fair Grounds - racing 6 furlongs to a 1 3/4 length victory, Trainer: Shane Wilson
