Racing a mile on the turf at the Fair Grounds, FRAN'S STAR settled behind horses on the inside, then found a way out to wear down the leader going 5 wide for the win by 1 1/2 lengths. FRAN'S STAR is a homebred for  Jacqueline L. Barberito trained by Shane Wilson.

Off the favorite and on the same card, LOUISIANA WILDLIFE backed off to shadow the early pace, overcame a brush, then advanced for the win by 1 1/2 lengths racing 6 furlongs. He was claimed out of his winning race, and we wish the best of racing luck going forward. 

Scott Gainer owned and trained NATIVE STAR ran off with a mile race at Delta Downs. He went right to the lead and sailed to a 4 1/4 length win. Breeder: Kendel Standlee. This is win #4.

Since graduating, POPPA MAGIC has run only in allowance company and has been on the board consistently. Today he won racing 7 1/2 on the dirt at Delta Downs. Last month, WOSIEMAKS raced mid pack, found a seam to clear and put her head down just in time for the win and graduation. Today she made it 2 in a row, contesting the lead and holding it to win by 1 1/2 lengths going a mile on the dirt at the Fair Grounds. WOSIEMAKS is a homebred for  Earl Hernandez, Keith Hernandez & John Duvieila  and is trained by Sam B. Stakes winner RUE LALA sprinted 5 1/2 furlongs on the turf at the Fair Grounds to garner her 7th win and her 2nd allowance win in a row. She came 4 wide from off the pace, challenged and won by 1 1/2. Thsi remarkable 8 year old mare is very much still at the top of her game. She is everybody's dream of a race horse. Second in his last two starts, ROMEO SPIKES got the job done today at the Fair Grounds racing 6 furlongs. He zipped right to  the lead and dueled there to dig in and graduate by 1 1/2 lengths. He overcame tight quarters from a rival for the victory. ROMEO SPIKES is trained by  Rylee Magnon for owners  BW and HTS Stables, LLC and Jason Grudzien. Breeder: Grudzien Farms

Racing a mile at the Fair Grounds for his new connections, trainer Robertino Diodoro and owner Fugget About It Racing Stables, ISLAND CABANA waited inside, moved out, and reeled in the leader to win by 1 1/2 lengths. This is his 5th win and his 2nd win in a row.  ISLAND CABANA was bred by Tigertail Ranch.

PRECIOUS MONEY went 6 furlongs at the Fair Grounds to win her 3rd race. She settled then split horses to get up for the victory by 2 lengths.  She is now trained by Gary J. Husak for owner Jamal Zamin.  Bred byAllied Racing.

Florida Bred RAN THE RED added win number 4 at Charles Town racing 6 1/2 furlongs on the dirt. She duelled from the start and won by a neck for her new connections trainer and co-owner Kevin J. Joy and co-owner Gus  Pesaturo, Breeder: Tom McCrocklin & Carolin Von Rosenberg DV

Racing 6 1/2 at Delta Downs, MY SPECIAL STAR b benefited from a drop in class and  off the favorite, broek her maiden for trainer Samuel Breaux and owner Rachel Denius. She found an inside seam and surged to a 3/4 length victory.

Ohio Bred LADY LOVES MONEY broke her maiden racing 6 furlongs at Mahoning Valley Race Course. She followed that up with an allowance 2nd and now a win. This one was also at the same track and same distance. Once again she went right to the lead and stayed on the rail for the win by 1 3/4 length. The newly 4 year old filly is trained by Lorenzo Juarez for owner LMJ Racing.

Second last out in the Louisiana Champions Day Classic Stakes, MSW SIPPIN ON GIN  followed that up with an allowance win today. Racing a mile and seventy at the Fair Grounds, he surged from off the pace to win by a neck. He is a homebred for Allied Racing Stable LLC and is trained by W. Bret Calhoun, Look at his stats - the worst he has ever finished is 4th!

Sprinting 5 1/2 furlongs at the Fair Grounds, Brittlyn, Inc. homebred ROADSIDE BANKER broke his maiden for trainer Shane Wilson. He trailed inside then swung 5 wide to take the lead nd win by 1 1/2 lengths,
 

You probably won't find the name Touchuponastar (Star Guitar) on anyone's 2025 Eclipse Award ballot. Fanfare just doesn't come easily for a Louisiana-bred who has spent most of his career competing against fellow state breds. But the 7-year-old gelding is unquestionably one of the fastest horses in the sport. Is he fast enough to win the Jan. 24 GI Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes at Gulfstream Park?
