2/19/12 - HALF LUCKY, .g. 3, out of Olympic Gal, by Line In The Sand broke his maiden at Aqueduct in his third start. He went right to the lead and won off by 2 1/4. 2/10/12 - Half Pleasant, f, 3, out of Sparkle Colony, by Pleasant Colony, won back for the third time, this time at Oaklawn. She now has 3 wins in 5 starts for owner Mark Farrar and breeder Marvin Little Jr.

1/28/12 - Recent MSW winner BEGGARTHYNEIGHBOR (c, 3, Half Ours - Postulant, by Pulpit) earned black type with a brave win in the $100,000 DANCING COUNT S. at Laurel. He is the second stakes winner and the third stakes horse for his sire. He is owned by Klaravich Stables Inc & William H Lawrence and was bred by Alastar Thoroughbred Co (KY). His trainer is Chad C Brown. This bumps HALF OURS up to 6th in National Ranking for 2nd Crop Sires and 1st in Louisiana!

Going off the favorite, he pressed the pace while waiting behind a fast half in :45.25. He then pushed past and took the lead between horses in the lane and held sway to the wire. He zipped 6 furlongs in 1:09 4/5.

"From start to finish I was confident," said his jockey. "I had horse the entire race. Turning for home, he gave all that he had and didn't back off.

BEGGARTHYNEIGHBOR has not been off the board in 4 starts and has earned $91,000. Watch for this one!

1/16/12 - PARTLY MOCHA,. g. 3, out of Chocolate Mon, by Maria’s
Mon broke his maiden at Gulfstream Park going 7.5 over a firm turn course. He won off my 1 1/2 lengths. He is owned by R and H Stable and was bred by Mr. & Mrs. John Michael Link (W.V.). He is the 6th three year old to win and the 23rd winner overall.

1/22/12 - CROW BRIDGE, g 3 out of Strikeapromise (Smart Strike) is winner number 22 - at Oaklawn Park

1/10/12 - They are flying to the wire. Pretty Much Mine (Fit n' Pretty, by Fit to Fight) won by 8 sprinting 5 1/2 furlongs at Beulah Park to become winner 21. She went wire to wire. She is owned by Baywood Racing and was bred by Catherine E. Sheppell & William R. Sheppell.

1/9/12 - Winner number 20 happened in Japan as Danon Creator (Usa) broke his maiden in Kyoto. He is the third newly turned three year old to win.

1/5/12 - Half Ours keeps the New Year's celebration going with a HUGE winner at Gulfstream. Making it winner number 19, Harry T. Rosenblum's Gentlemen's Bet (c, 3, Half Ours - Lady of Sun, by Gentlemen {Arg}) went straight to the lead along the inside and drew off in the stretch to a seven 1/4 length romp.

1/1/12 - HALF OURS starts the New Year with a bang as BEGGARTHYNEIGHBOR (c, 3, Half Ours - Postulant, by
Pulpit) became the 18th winner for his sire and the first in 2012 by a just turned three year old. He is owned by Klaravich Stables Inc & William H Lawrence and was bred by Alastar Thoroughbred Co (KY). His trainer is Chad C Brown.

Running for a $60,000 MSW purse at Aqueduct, the gray zipped straight to the lead and ran a half in :46.49. He was challenged in the stretch, but dug in gamely to score by a neck.

9/14/11 - UNDAUNTED ELLA , f, 2, Half Ours - Here Comes
Nikki, by The Prime Minister broke her maiden at Belmont first time out. She is the 10th two year winner for her sire. UNDAUNTED ELLA took the rail route to set the pace. A rival got a head in front, but UNDAUNTED ELLA got to the lead again, still hugging the rail.
She drew clear in the stretch and dug in to hit the wire in front. She is a NY Bred homebred for Gus Schoenborn Jr & David Kunz.

9/5/11 - HALF OURS now has his ninth 2 year-old winner, which makes for three new winners in three days! These ranged from the West Coast at Del Mar to the Northeast at Woodbine, and now last night down south at Evangeline Downs. Silver Bullet Gal won by four lengths and we congratulate trainer J K Desormeaux, owner Don't Tell My Wife Stables, and breeder Haras Santa Mario de Araras. This gives HALF OURS 9 2 year-olds winners from 17 starters!  

9/4/11 - Half Ours got his eigth two year old winner at Woodbine when his daughter LAS MALVEGAS , f, 2, Half Ours -Las Malvinas, by Lord
At War {Arg) zipped 5 furlongs on the all weather surface in 57 2/5. She had a troubled trip last out to be second. This time she went off the
8-5 favorite, and was never far off the pace. She accelerated through the lane to win off by 3 lengths. She is owned by Theodore F Burnett. and was bred by Royal Oak Farm LLC (KY).

9/2/11 - QUALITY ELUSION, g, 2, Half Ours - Elusive Road, by Elusive Quality breaks his maiden at Del Mar. Following a second place finish at Del Mar earlier in the month, he found the way to the winner's circle in his next start . He was bred by Leprechaun Racing Management Inc (KY) and is owned by Monarch Thoroughbreds. His trainer is Cash Asumssen.

8/6/11 - HALF OURS has his first STAKES WINNER!

Another exciting day for HALF OURS with his first STAKES WINNER, BACKDOOR KENNY, in the $85,000 Mountaineer Juvenile Stakes for 2 year olds at Mountaineer Park . Congratulations to owner Doubledown Stables, Inc., trainer James DiVito, breeders Ron Kirk and Poplar Hill Equine, LLC. and the Louisiana pilot, Joseph Talamo. BACKDOOR KENNY broke alertly, and took the lead soon after, going in a blistering 21:20, 44:16, 57:07 and 6 furlongs in 1.10:92. In doing so, he set a New Stakes Record!  

7/4/11 - OUR HALF (c, 2, Half Ours - Risky Kitten, by Formal Gold) sccored in aMaiden Special Weight at Penn National. He set the pace through an opening quarter in :22.84. He opened up in the final furlong to score by one length. Our Half is the fifth winner for his freshman sire. Congratulations to the connections of Our Half, owner Taylor and T. Salzman Partnership, breeder Taylor Made Stallions, and trainer Timothy Salzman.  Our Half, a 2 Year-old first-time starter, makes HALF OURS  5th winner to date from 9 starters in the $31,000l on July 4th!

6/24/11 - HALF PLEASANT, f, 2, Half Ours--Sparkle Colony, by Pleasant Colony broke her maiden at Churchill Downs in her second out. She broke on top and stayed there to win off by over 4 lenths! She is the third winner for her freshman sire. Congratulations to the connections, owners Dr. Carl Gessler, Jr. and Magdalena Racing; trainer Kenneth McPeek; and breeder Marvin Little, Jr.

5/18/11 - A HALF OURS colt out of G1 placed Hipocrite (Chi) ran a quarter mile in :21 3/5 on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 in the first session of the under tack show for the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Two-Year-Olds In Training Sale. He was one of four horses to cover the distance in the fastest time clocked for the day. The gr/ro colt (Hip #87) is consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc. 

The second session of the under tack show is May 19. The sale will be held May 23 and 24.

With two juvenile winners already this year in his first crop, HALF OURS is Louisiana's Leading Freshman Sire.

5/7/11 - BACKDOOR KENNY , c, 2, Half Ours - Internal Affair, by Orientate won at first asking. He was the first out of the gate and was pressured early but opened up late, hitting the wire five lengths to the good. Backdoor Kenny becomes the second winner for his freshman sire. He is owned by Doubledown Stables, Inc.and was bred by Ron Kirk & Poplar Hill

4/21/11 - Freshman Half Ours Gets First Winner at Gulfstream.

ZINGWELLA , f, 2, Half Ours - Ms Well, by Mister Jolie, was part of a 4-5 Wesley Ward entry, and the filly ran to expectations in this 2 1/2-furlong sprint. Always in front, she scored by several lengths winning in her first effort. . Zingwella is the first winner for her freshman sire (by Unbridled's Song). She is owned by Wesley Ward & Ice Wine Stable and was bred by James H Glover (Ky).

3/16/11 - Half Ours Proves Popular at OBS

HALF OURS juveniles were in demand at the Ocala Breeders Two-Year-Old in Training Sale which concluded Wednesday, March 16. Seven two-year-olds by  HALF OURS sold for a total of $742,000 ranking him the 5th leading sire by gross.

Hip number 277, a dkbb colt by  HALF OURS -Skyladysky was purchased by Will Wright for $275,000 putting the colt in the top 6% of horses offered in the sale. Hip number 290, a dkbb filly out of Stand On Top was purchased for $100,000 by Gary Contessa, agent for Harold Lerner. Two more colts passed through the ring for $85,000 each and one for $80,000

9/16/10 - Thus far HALF OURS has had two yearlings through the ring at the Keeneland Yearling Sale for $95,000 and $150,000 and more to come! 

8/7/01 - A Half Ours colt topped the sale on day one of the NY Bred Preferred Sale at Fasig Tipton, Saratoga. He was purchased by “Buzz” Chace, agent for West Point Thoroughbreds for $100,000. The colt is out of Dixie Lyrics, by Dixie Union.

Half Ours was also the leading sire on day one
(by average, two or more sold) with 2 sold for an average of $74,000.

8/2/10 - Half Ours filly brings $150,000 at Spa Opener.  Hip #30 was purchased yesterday evening at the Fasig Tipton Saratoga Select Sale by Murray Smith, the highly successful pinhooker and  a high end talent scout, has developed the likes of stars Monarchos, Smoke Glacken, Wild Fit, and others. 

Half Ours to Clear Creek Stud in Louisiana

Grade 2 winner Half Ours has moved to Val Murrell’s Clear Creek Stud in Louisiana after standing his initial season at the Taylor family’s Taylor Made Farm in Nicholasville, Kentucky.

The six-year-old Unbridled’s Song horse will stand for $5,000 in 2010 after standing for $12,500 during his initial season. Out of the Storm Cat mare Zing, Half Ours won five of seven races and earned $319,680. He won the 2005 Three Chimneys Juvenile Stakes at Churchill Downs and the ’07 Richter Scale Sprint Championship Handicap (G2) at Gulfstream Park at age four.

Half Ours sold as a horse in training for $6.1-million during the 2006 Keeneland November breeding stock sale.
