One
of the finest facilities of it’s kind in the entire
south, Clear Creek Stud is truly a full-service operation,
specializing in personal service to both clients and their
Thoroughbreds. We board up to 120 mares at a time (taking
every precaution at foaling), break yearlings, train on
a five-furlong training track (with breakaway safety rails),
have a swim facility and a Eurociser (mechanical exerciser).
We also excel in sales preparation and representation.
For the 2004 breeding season, Clear Creek Stud is home
to 12 stallions including several of the leading sires
in the southeastern United States.
Located
in Folsom, Louisiana, the farm is less than an hours drive
from New Orleans and the states flagship racetrack, Fair
Grounds. It is approximately 2 hours by van ride to Evangeline
Downs, 3 hours to Delta Downs and 5 hours to
Louisiana Downs. With an abundance of fresh (smog free)
air and clean water,
we are at the heart of Louisiana’s most fertile
horse country.

In
its December 6, 2003 edition, the Thoroughbred Times ranked
Clear Creek Stud as the 54th leading Thoroughbred Farm
in North America. There were only two other stud farms
in this region of the United States ranked ahead of Clear
Creek Stud on that list and both were in Texas. The list
also illustrated the impressive numbers Clear Creek Stud
posts year after year, with nearly $7 million in progeny
earnings in 2003, which equated to nearly $15,000 per
runner (tops in Louisiana).
