    • CRIMSON FELINE by LION TAMER scores at Evangeline

      CRIMSON FELINE has only been off the board once in 10 starts. Today she chased the pace, inched clear and held for the win going 6 furlongs on the dirt at Evangeline Downs. She is a homebred for Corale A. Richards and was co-bred by Rose Griffith.

    • CRAZY CARLOS by CUSTOM FOR CARLOS graduates at Mountaineer

      CRAZY CARLOS pressed the pace and then sailed on for the win to break his maiden by over 2 lengths going 6 furlongs on the dirt at Mountaineer. He is owned by Pendleton W. Larsen, Jr., trained by Brent Angelle and was bred by Kara Gael Baggett & Val C. Murrell.

    • Partly Mocha adds black type

      Partly Mocha was claimed by trainer Mike Maker lasst year at Saratoga and six year old races now for the Ramseys. He was an excellent claim having not been off the board since his claim. Today he added black type running a strong second in the Confucius Say Stakes at Charles Town. He has been specialist at sprinting on the turf but in the Confucious Says stretched out to 7 furlongs on the dirt. He has earned $310,532 with a lifetime record of 31-6-7-6.

    • YO PHAT by CUSTOM FOR CARLOS scores by 4 at Mountaineer

      Dropped into claiming company, YO PHAT shook off his competition quickly to score by 4 lengths sprinting 5 1/2 furlongs ar Mountaineer Park.  He is owned and trained by John W. Baird and was bred Avalon Farms, Inc.

    • Watch for hip 1017 - STAR GUITAR filly at OBS

      LA BRED STAR GUITAR FILLY 1017 breezed in 20.4.  (click to watch breeze). She is available in barn 13 with Off the Hook LLC, Agent V.

      Appelbaum said an  attractive offering from Off the Hook is a daughter from the first crop of Louisiana-based sire Star Guitar, winner of 24 of 30 career starts and more than $1.7 million in earnings. The filly (Hip 1017) worked a quarter-mile in :20 4/5. “That filly is not just a Louisiana filly,” Appelbaum said, noting potential buyers should look at her track performance rather than pedigree. “She should be able to run anywhere successfully.”

    • RIVER ROAD by Half Ours takes allowance at Evangeline

      As a 2 year old, RIVER ROAD won first out for his owner/trainer Howard Alonzo and co-owner  P T Thoroughbreds. Running back at 3, the colt captured his first allowance condition. He dueled throughout and inched clear late for the win at Evangeline Downs going 6 1/2 furlongs on the dirt. He was bred by Jason Hall

    • Chinawood by Custom for Carlos graduates at

      CHINAWOOD cleared the field late in a MSW on a sloppy sealed track at Evangeline Downs going a mile. She won by 3 1/4 lengths. She is a homebred for Alston Thoroughbreds LLC and has earned $29,200.

    • Jazzy Rebel by Ole Rebel wins allowance

      Stakes placed Jazzy Rebel, a Dr Glen Warren homebred, chased inside, moved outside to clear the field and take an allowance race at Evangeline Downs for his third win lifetime. He pushed his earnings overr $100,000.

    • Carlientita by Custom for Carlos graduates at the Fair Grounds

      Three year old filly Carlientita had no problem wiring the field and breaking her maiden at the Fair Grounds. From the one hole, she went right to the lead and won by over 6 lengths. Carlientita is a homebred for Homewrecker Racing LLC & Dr. Carlos Riveria.

    • JOCKAMO'S SONG takes the Costa Rising

      Sprint specialist JOCKAMO'S SONG by Half Ours followed up his last December stakes win in  Louisiana Champions Day Sprint with a 2016 allowance win and today a second stakes win in the Costa Rising S at the Fair Grounds. He raced well placed on the rail and then swung out to clear the field and kept his nose in front for the win on the Lousiana Derby undercard. He is owned by Dare To Dream Stable LLC (Michael Faber) and was bred by  Debbie Allen & David Allen. He has bankrolled over $161,000.

      Also on the Louisiana Derby undercard, CARMEN'S CATCHER, graduted in a MSW for owner/breeders Earl & Keith Hernandez.


    • SUNBEAN takes the STAR GUITAR

      There are strong interconnections between the name of this race and its winner. The winner, the ultra-consistent millionaire SUNBEAN,  is owned by Clear Creek client, Evelyn Benoit of  Brittlyn Stable, Inc. Brittlyn Stable, Inc also raced millionaire STAR GUITAR for whom the race is named and who is standing at Clear Creek Stud. STAR GUITAR has first two year olds of 2016.

      In the Star Guitar S, SUNBEAN raced fowardly under restraint and then tipped out to clear the field for the win. His dam, the  prolific Lousiana stakes-producer X Strawdnair (by now deceased Clear Creek stallion Malagra) has a yearling filly by Star Guitar and foaled a colt by that stallion Feb. 1 - so the beat goes on...

    • Love the Beach by Half Ours wins again - 100% on the board

      A homebred yhree year old filly for Bill and Denise Morrison, LOVE THE BEACH wired the field to win at the Fair Grounds. In 4 starts, she has 2 wins, a second and a third. She is batting 100% on the board.

    • Clear Creek Bred and Raised JET BLACK MAGIC wins La Champion 2 Year Old Filly

    • Katie B`s Wager by Half Ours takes a race at the Fair Grounds

      4 year old filly KATIE B`S WAGER won for the second time for owner Keith Plaisance and with multiple on the board finishes, she has upped her earnings to $66,585. In this race she went to the lead on the inside, was bested and then came on again gamely for the win. She was bred by Jane H. Harang.


      Multiple stakes winner HEAVY ON THEMISTER made his 43rd start count, winning for the 11th time coming around horses and clearing for the win in an AOC at the Fair GroundsThe 8 year old gelding is still very much on his game. He was claimed out of this race and we wish his new connections the best, He was bred by T. J. Dickey & Rebecca Farm. His earnings now stand over $633,000.

      SW JOCKAMO'S SONG owned by Dare to Dream Stable LLC and  trained by Michael Stidham skimmed the rail to wire the field in an allowance race at 6 furlongs at the Fair Grounds. He recently won the Lousiana Champion's Day Sprint. He has upped his earnings over $125,000.

    • HALF PENCE wires field in MSW - wins by almost 9

      The third start was the charm for HALF PENCE. He went to the lead and just kept opening up on the field until he had won by 8 3/4. Watch for this one. He is owned by  Rodney Dunn and was bred Joseph B. Quartano.

    • Safari Calamari adds more black type + 2 more winners

      Brittlyn Stables, Inc.homebred stakes placed winner Safari Calamari added black type with a third in the off the turf  Red Camelia S at the Fair Grounds - and a total of 6 wins, 2 second and two thirds from 12 starts. That is 50% in the winner's circle! She has earned over $262,000. The PERFECT LA Bred!

      TOTALLY OURS went off the favorite and did not let his bettors down, wiring the field in an allowance race going a mile at Delta Downs. He is owned by Keene Thoroughbreds LLC and was bred by Clear Creek Stud LLC.

      HARRY LONG LEGS also added to the list of winners, breaking his maiden at the Fair Grounds.

      G.W.'S D'ORO stood his first season in 2014. Watch for his first yearlings at the sales this fall.

    • 1 stakes placed and 2 winners for Half Ours

      SW SMITTY'S COUGAR ran second to Jet Black Magic’s in the Azalea S at Delta Downs. This was revenge for SMITTY'S COUGAR 's win  her in thier last meeting in the $125,000 Louisiana Premier Night Starlet. These two will make an exciting rivalry. SMITTY'S COUGAR is a homebred for Roger G Smith and has earned over $213,000 for her connections.

      On the same day, HALF HOURS had two nice maiden winners. His daughter SOCIAL DOLL graduated in a MSW at Delta for owner/trainer Cyril F Hicks. She was bred by Stanley Seelig.

      Out west at Sunland Park his son, WHEELS OF STEEL got the job done also in a MSW, winning with ease by almost 8 lengths for owner Donald W Erickson and breeder Fine Line Farm.

    • Baby Customs by Custom for Carlos ROMPS to graduate first out

      Three year old filly BABY CUSTOMS, hopped at the start sprinting 5 furlongs, but accelerated quickly to the lead and never looked back, wiring the field in a MSW by  widening 7 1/4 lengths at Delta Downs. She had fired a bullet in her last work and went off the favorite. She is trained by her co-owner Samuel Breaux. The second co-owner is David E, Citron and the filly was bred by  Colden R. Jones & Brian P. Jones. Watch for this one!

    • Win Lion WIn garners more black type

      Multiple stakes placed Win Lion WIn added more black type running third in the La Bred Premier Night Sprint S at Delta Downs. Recently  he was third in the Turf Express  S. at Evangeline Downs. He is owned by Virginia B. Lazenby and Farm D'Allie Racing Stables and was bred by Rebecca Farm LLC. He has earned over $150,000.

    • Ole Doc by Ole Rebel an excellent claim - earning $$

      He has already won for them twice, and now stepping back up into allowance company, he had no trouble winning again - by over 6 lengths. He has earned over $91,000.
